Somewhere on no road

Somewhere out on no road
Go forgotten inside tunes before
Nothing but mistakes, no words
Whispered beneath a wind lost
On time’s own intoxication
While all given up a last photograph
A last string of words to a day now past
All dormant in an autumn sun, across
Less miles than streets vacant of people
Those weight to storms, an approach
As flattened plastic bottles, crushed cans
Old newspapers cartwheel, tumble down
Each street, searching for that big ol’river
To give its fill, its disease, a loveless and discarded
Waste of dreams and long empty moments
No triggered flash, only thunder n’ lightening
All just passing by, no longer rolling on, never
In all the miles crowned.
