Up stream tale

Up stream tale

Up stream

As light it leaves, we leave the sea,
Heading up river from where we’ve been,
Our journey’s long, our journey’s free,
Of rain and storms on this summer’s eve,
A wind has picked up just a little,
We’re navigating west, but that’s okay,
Company it makes our time,
Along these muddy waters fine,
Listen out here for the frogs,
Where the night birds call in a fog,
Now we’re moving so so slow,
You might think we must of stopped,
On this river waiting for a post office clock,
It’s still many miles, so we anchor up,

Anchor up

While another tide runs out,
High and dry, just you and me,
Inside another story set far from sea,
Tell our tales and wait awhile,
Let’s sleep our night until another journey’s morning light.
