Lost today, vanish yesterday, and escape tomorrow

Today, this morning, I have been reading through a sea of different peoples’ words (blogs), and came across one where their words have paused for a time. The short poem below are the feelings and sensations that came rushing out as I arrived at their latest post to find their pause.

Lost today, vanish yesterday, and escape tomorrow
Caught your words’ today,
Soft as silk on a summer breeze,
Walking in all that you see,
These places to become lost.

Adventure in your words’ yesterday,
Vibrant colours of past seasons,
Running in mountains of reasons,
These times dream to vanish,

Waiting on your words’ flight tomorrow,
Eloquent dance upon mindful waters,
Sprinting in torn horizons without falters,
These people live to escape.

  1. Hello, Sean. Thanks for visiting my blog. Yours is well laid out and attractive. To your poem now…

It’s such a riveting piece with deep meaning. When read aloud, it runs off smoothly. Here is one of my favorite lines: Running in mountain of reasons<<brilliant!

    • Thanks Uzoma! On both counts. And hello too.

I probably went through about dozen different themes and layouts in the last week, before settling for the current one.

The piece derives its life for having read the micro poetry of another poet/writer, it is an art to get so much into so few a words, with what they do. Thanks again.
